If you are anything like me, you love trading and investing podcasts. If you don't know which ones are the best or what you might be missing out on, well, not to worry. I've compiled a list of what I believe to be the best trading and investing podcasts.

A lot of these podcasts vary in style from a more laid back conversational delivery to a more lecture or interview type approach.

The list is in no particular order and these podcasts cover topics ranging from the current market environments, value investing, trading interviews to general stock market and retirement investing podcasts tailored more towards retirement investing opportunities and overall stock market chatter.

So without further a due, lets gets started.

Hosted by Aaron Fifield, this podcast is brilliant to listen too on your commute to work or just in general.

Aaron is like the modern Jack Schwager whereby he interviews top traders in all different walks of life. His interviews provide valuable insights into many traders and investors approach to the markets and lessons that can be learned from them.

I particularly love hearing the stories of how these guys and girls got started in their careers and some of the pitfalls and struggles they faced when starting out, reminding us all, that no one is immune to the trials and tribulations of the stock markets.

To sum up what gets covered:

  • Interviews with top traders/investors
  • A variety of trading & investing strategies discussed by the interviewees

I cannot speak highly enough of this podcast. It can become very addictive and before you realize, you've binge listened to all his episodes, (I'm guilty of this).

His podcast style is in an interview type delivery and Aaron always asks the burning questions we've always wanted to ask these top people when starting out.

4. So Money

Hosted by Farnoosh Torabi, this is a podcast I only recently discovered. While it's not strictly related to investing, there are some very important guests on her show that can help with our finances.

There is always lessons to learn on the show. She offers personal finance advice to both the younger generation and the older generation.

If you are a young person wanting to get started in the stock market or even an older person and need ways to manage your finances to allow you to have the capital to invest/trade, So money is  a great podcast for this.

Topics included in her podcast :

  • personal finance
  • overcoming failures
  • entrepreneurship
  • interviews
  • stories of success
  • advice from experts
  • personal q&a sessions

Another great thing I love about this show is the wide array of guests she has on. There isn't one style here. There is a vast difference between some of her interviewees.

Heres some of the people she's interviewed:

  • Ashley Eckstein - star wars actress & entrepreneur
  • Richard Ludlow - executive director of the myRA program
  • Dan Ariely - Professor of Psychology and behavioural economics
  • Booby Monks - Author of Uninvested

Even from that small sample of some guests on her show, you can see she covers a wide variety of different styles and industries, but they all have one thing in common, financial well being and entrepreneurship.

Her blog is very interesting and you can find her on twitter where she regularly tweets updates etc.

5.Two Blokes Trading

I love these guys. This podcast is hosted by, you guessed it, two guys, Tom & Brandon. The podcast is generally in a conversational style and is highly entertaining.

The podcast is jammed packed with great information. I love the more laid back style personally too. As they are both from the U.K. there are some great topics that don't get covered much if at all in American trading and investing circles.

Topics include:

  • Spreadbetting
  • Interview with Hedge Fund managers
  • Trading Psychology
  • General Trading Information
  • Retail traders and retail trading
  • Broker discussions
  • Reviews on books/ educational products etc.
  • Chat about forex, cryptocurrency, stock market, emerging markets etc.

They really cover a plethora of information and are well worth a listen. You'll definitely learn something from them or the guests they have on.

My personal favorite episode ' A Mathematical Basis For Intuitive Trading with Andre Minassian'

You can also find more updates and information on their Twitter Account

6.Freakonomics

Hosted by Stephen D. Levitt and Stephen J.  Dubner, where do I even begin to start with these guys? They are nothing short of amazing and their podcast makes economics fun. There insights into economics, albeit from a completely different viewpoint is very interesting and they delve into many topics.

Some of these topics include:

  • Economics (obviously)
  • Finance
  • Investing
  • Case Studies ( my favorite)
  • Unique Data Analysis ( Trust me, it's a lot more interesting then it sounds)
  • Interviews with experts e.g. Jack Welch former General Electric Ceo
  • Science
  • Peak Performance
  • Psychology

Just look at their episode list and you'll see the unique approach they take to things. This isn't your Economics 101 where you'd be bored to tears.

These guys are great at bucking conventional wisdom and following data and not 'curve fitting' it to create a desired outcome.

I wish these guys taught me when I was in school.  One of my favorite episodes and the lessons in this really got me thinking. ' What are the secrets of the German economy and can we steal them?'

They deservedly have a large twitter following. You'll get notified of their latest episodes, books, general information etc.

Here is a great video with the two hosts

Conclusion

I hope you guys enjoyed the list. Like I said, they are in no particular order and all of them have their own unique benefits and values.

From the more entertaining, laid back approach to the interview style, structural podcasts,  there is something for everyone. We all love podcasts and they are certainly growing in popularity over the years.

What I love most is how much information is freely available and can be learned from them. It really gives our society a head start of our peers of the past.

Lucky us !

If you read this and want to improve your own life and get started somewhere on the path, this self improvement post may also help.

I hope you found this of value and I'd be interested to know what your favorite investment podcasts are.
